The 828-metre (2,717 ft) tall Burj Khalifa in Dubai has been the tallest building since 2010. The Burj Khalifa has been classified as megatall. The Burj is more than twice the height of the Empire State Building, and almost three times the size of the Eiffel Tower. The monumental edifice officially opened on 4 January 2010 and was certified as the Tallest building in the world.
Burj Khalifa total floors 163 (+ 2 below ground). The owner is Emaar Properties and the architects are Adrian Smith, George J. Efstathiou, Marshall Strabala. The Burj Khalifa set several world records, including:
